The Future of the Xbox Kinect

The original relese date was November 4, 2010.Microsoft is projecting its kinect sales at 5 million by christmas and has already passed the 1 million mark. There are hundreds of reviews out there and depending on which ones you read you may have a mixed view of the powerful console. When your changing something that has been one way for 30 years your going to run into some resistance from the die hards. Microsoft is more than used to this type of behavior.

But for all the negative reviews that are all over the internet there seems to be 10 times the amount of positive reviews that you will see too. Whether you like it or not the Xbox Kinect is here to stay.

The xbox kinect is the most unique gaming sytem on the market today.

Instead of a cumbersome controller you get your voice and body to guide you. There was a time when you had to use 6 different buttons to move your avatar, now you just move your body. You are also able to navigate menus by waving your hand in the air and interacting with your tv.

What is the potential for this technology? If you have played a video game in the last 30 years you have always needed a controller. Not so long ago, the wii made by Nintendo changed it all.Playstations rebuttle to the wii was called the playstation move. A controller was still required in order to play any of the games.

The Xbox Kinect has made the biggest leap ahead, leaving the competition scrambling to catch up.

There is currently a 3D tv on the market, I hope im not the only one who has noticed this. If you have yet to see this you really need to! Go to best buy, they have one that you can try out and see.It is better than I expected! To think that Microsoft and Texas Instruments havnet figured out that these two were meant for eachother is just not very likely.Could you imagine what that would be like? This has been every gamers dream since we picked up the first atari controller. We have seen it in so many movies but it was only an idea and not a reality. We were so used to it being depicted as a technology for the future, that we didnt think it would happen in our lifetime.

Yet here it stands before us.Microsoft and Texas Instruments have found the holy grail of gaming. The thought of having this in our own homes is almost more than I can handle. At first, just like anything else, you’re not going to be able to parachute into alien worlds and fight a revolution with futuristic weapons, but it’s a step in the right direction. Frankly it’s the step that gamers like me have been waiting for, for over 30 years.

Wii vs xbox kinect

Those who buy Kinect games won’t be shackled down by controllers like they would be with Nintendo’s console: every game is controlled entirely through body motion. There are no wands, controllers, buttons, or any other doodads to worry about. If you jump, your character jumps. You kick the soccer player on screen scores a goal. You row, the boat moves. It is a unique, one of a kind experience for gamers of all ages.

In addition to the control scheme, the Xbox Kinect offers superior graphics to the Wii. Due to the 360′s high tech hardware, games visuals can be pushed past what the relatively light weight Wii can provide. Players who appreciate HD gaming will definitely want to see what the Kinect has to offer.

The Wii does have the advantage of a head start: with nearly half a decade of games to choose from, the Wii’s library is full of a diverse selection of action, adventure, and party games. Kinect owners will be able to take advantage of the hundreds of 360 games for hardcore gamers, but the initial offering of motion games will be relatively slim.

Kinect is shaping up to be a scarce commodity. The sooner you purchase an Xbox Kinect, the better. Kinect stock doesn’t last long, so make sure you don’t miss out. If there is a Kinect in stock and you’re looking to purchase one, pick one up right away. However Kinect prices do differ and discounts are available so do compare Kinect prices if possible to find the cheapest Kinect prices. Bundles that include the 360 console are big sellers. These bundles come in either a standard 250 GB 360 version or a budget 4GB version. The only difference between the offers is the hard drive space; both are able to play any types of games available for the system.

The Xbox Kinect is the perfect gift for the family that plays together. Pick one up and enjoy the freedom of movement this controllerless system provides.
